About

Anim!Arte is an international festival of animated films with a focus on student audience. It has as objective to stimulate the culture, and the artistic growth of the youth Animation. This must be achieved by encouraging the production of animated films, especially among students.

For International Students (students from around the world) , there are two categories in the competition: Mini (under 18 years) and Maxi (18 years or over). The best international student animations will win the Anim!Arte trophies and certificates.

There are also 3 exclusive categories (only for Animation short films) just for students who are enrolled in educational institutions in Brazil: University Students, High School Students, and Students of Elementary Education.

For International Professionals there's three categories: "Environmental films", "World Cultures", and a new category "Sports Films", created in honor of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Rio 2016)

Rules

Only the films that contain at least 70% (seventy percent) of animation (in any technique) will be accepted
Each author (director or proponent) may inscribe a maximum of 5 (five) animation films
Will be accepted only submissions for films concluded until September, 2021, which did not participate of the Festival Anim!Arte in the past years
The submission is free
The maximum duration of each film is 15 minutes
The film can be sent by e-mail through download link to: animarte@vouanimarte.com.br, or by post mail
It is necessary to send (by email or by post mail) the Authorization file (Attachment 01 on website of the festival), filled up and signed (the signature can be digitalized)
If the film has dialogues in language other than Portuguese, it will be necessary the sending of a text file with the dialogues of the film in English (if possible, with the time code) to the email: animarte@vouanimarte.com.br
A version of the film with English subtitles is welcome to facilitate the work of translation and subtitling for the Portuguese, but the version that will be shown at the festival must be submitted without subtitles

Animated short films of cultural representations of sports produced by international professionals from all over the world. Films must be under 15 minutes.

International Professional World Cultures

Animated short films of cultural representations of any people around the planet: typical elements of a particular culture, historical events, folk festivals, mythology, and artistic manifestations produced by international professionals from all over the world. Films must be under 15 minutes.
