Green Montenegro International Film Fest

About

The GMIFF is a conceptual film festival whose main topic is the environmental protection. The aim is to develop and raise the awareness of the need to protect the environment through the artistic impulse and the improvement of the knowledge and the awareness of the ecology through the awareness of the global trends which Montenegro tends to follow. Thus it represents an important step forward on this path. 

Awards

Besides the awards for the first, second and third place in each of the categories, the Grand Prix for the best film of the festival is also awarded.

As a part of the cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Montenegro, the films would be played in almost all elementary and high schools across Montenegro, which, besides being mobile, dealing with cinema, ecology and activism, makes GMIFF educational.

Rules

• This call is international and open for films about the environment, ecology, nature, the endangered human lives and freedoms (Soul ecology category), tourism as well as innovations and technologies which contribute to minimising the human influence on the planet. 
• Only films created after the January 1st 2021 with duration under 60 minutes would be taken into account.
