Directors Statement

Several themes are brought together for me in this film. The theme of acquiring and losing a gift, which happens with someone, when they acquire a gift and use it incorrectly. After all a gift is given only to serve people and what happens when you forget it. This theme worries any creative person, it even touched me, and I wanted to think about it in such a strange way. At the same time there is a line of strange voices in the film, who come to the heroine and warn her that if humanity does not stop spreading hate, violence, increase of nuclear aggression, then in a few years people will destroy themselves, they do not require an external enemy, they will do it to themselves. And the only thing that can help humanity to survive is to surround itself with love. As it happened we started shooting this film on 26th February 2022, 2 days after the start of the war and it was probably this film that helped me to get through this most difficult period for myself and my country, and it gave me some thoughts about and understanding of the importance of completing this film because the theme of the film has suddenly become particularly relevant now. The shoot became one of the most difficult of my life, not just the understanding of why you are doing it gives you and your group the strength to not give in, ot not run and take it through to the end, even if such strange historic events are taking place outside the window.
